A Template Approach
Simplifying Statistics for Research
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to ease anxiety levels and to help you learn statistics. To accomplish this, many templates were developed including sample papers, instructional datasets, and basic statistical analyses and this resource, A Template Approach: Simplifying Statistics for Research, is a compilation of all of these. We find that people prefer a template approach because the material is provided in the same manner for all the statistical analyses and concept maps help you understand where the concepts fit. This enables you to begin to see patterns about how statistics fit within the overall writing research process.
OUR TEAM
This is a collaboration of two Ph.D. level professors across Texas: A psychologist and a counselor educator. After more than a decade of teaching research and statistics courses, we reflected on initial concerns that students have about taking research courses and responded to those concerns by developing this resource.
